Micro SD Card Adapter

Overview

– This MicroSD Card Adapter module is a Micro SD card reader module with an SPI interface via the file system
driver, requiring an Arduino (or comparable) microcontroller system to complete the MicroSD system to read and
write files

– Arduino users can directly use the Arduino IDE that comes with an SD card to complete the library card
initialization and read-write.

Baseball Scoreboard Controller – Android App Bluetooth

This Baseball Scoreboard Android App controls a portable LED Matrix Baseball Scoreboard for sporting events. This App controls the scoreboard by using Bluetooth. This App displays the personalized names of both the Home and Away teams with their current Score and Innings played. The App also displays the current at batters count for Balls and Strikes as well as the recorded Outs for the hitting team. All information is displayed on both the Android App as well as the LED Matrix Scoreboard.

This Baseball Scoreboard App requires the LED Matrix Bluetooth Controlled Baseball Scoreboard to function properly.

This Android App allows the user to customize the Away and Home team information on the Android phone and stores the game scores and current innings being played. This app also tracks the Balls, Strikes and Outs of the team at bat.

For the Team Scores, to increase the score, you will need to press the increment button INC. If you accidentally make a mistake no worries. You just need to press the decrement button DEC to decrease the score. The team score will hold up to the number 32 runs before returning back to 0.

To increase the Balls, Strikes, Outs and Innings, you will need to press the increase button INC.

The Balls contains values of 0, 1, 2, and 3 before returning back to 0.

The Strikes contains values of 0, 1, 2, before returning back to 0.

The Outs contains values of 0, 1, 2, before returning back to 0.

The Innings contains values of 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 before returning back to 0.

The Baseball and Softball Scoreboards have a very rough finish as they have been 3D printed with a Lulzbot Taz 3D printer using HIPS plastic material to keep the cost of manufacturing down.

Arduino Uno

Overview
– The UNO R3 is the best board to get started with electronics and coding. If this is your first experience with electronics and coding, the UNO is the most robust board you can start playing with. The UNO R3 is the most used and documented board of the whole Arduino family. The UNO R3 is a microcontroller board based on the ATmega328P. It has 14 digital input/output pins (of which 6 can be used as PWM outputs), 6 analog inputs, a 16 MHz quartz crystal, a USB connection, a power jack, an ICSP header and a reset button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a computer with a USB cable or power it with a AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.

Differences with other boards
– The UNO R3 differs from all preceding boards in that it does not use the FTDI USB-to-serial driver chip. Instead, it features the Atmega16U2 (Atmega8U2 up to version R2) programmed as a USB-to-serial converter.

Revisions
– 1.0 pinout: added SDA and SCL pins that are near to the AREF pin and two other new pins placed near to the RESET pin, the IOREF that allow the shields to adapt to the voltage provided from the board. In future, shields will be compatible with both the board that uses the AVR, which operates with 5V and with the Arduino Due that operates with 3.3V. The second one is a not connected pin, that is reserved for future purposes.
– Stronger RESET circuit.
– Atmega 16U2 replace the 8U2. Means a higher transfer rate and memory.

Communication
– The Uno has a number of facilities for communicating with a computer, another Uno board, or other microcontrollers. The ATmega328 provides UART TTL (5V) serial communication, which is available on digital pins 0 (RX) and 1 (TX). An ATmega16U2 on the board channels this serial communication over USB and appears as a virtual com port to software on the computer. The 16U2 firmware uses the standard USB COM drivers, and no external driver is needed. However, on Windows, a .inf file is required. The Arduino Software (IDE) includes a serial monitor which allows simple textual data to be sent to and from the board. The RX and TX LEDs on the board will flash when data is being transmitted via the USB-to-serial chip and USB connection to the computer (but not for serial communication on pins 0 and 1).
